Copeland Center for Wellness and Recovery has been a leader in evidence-based practice peer training and networking of peers since 2005. We transform lives by promoting wellness, recovery, community inclusion and peer support through training, technical assistance, participatory research and advocacy.
During its 17-year history, the Copeland Center has built a nationwide and worldwide network of over 20,000 individuals with lived experience with mental health and other life challenges who are participating in a grassroots peer support movement. We have taken our practices online leading evidence-based groups, online recovery education sessions, support groups, providing technical assistance, and one-on-one support.
The Copeland Center is a peer-run organization with 90% of staff and board of directors identifying as people with lived experience of mental health challenges.
At the Copeland Center, we believe that learning through exploration, activities, shared applied learning and self-reflection are the best paths to developing quality peer support skills.
