The Peer Support Specialist Certification Fee Schedule outlines activities and fees associated with the ongoing administration of the Peer Support Specialist Certification Program operated by California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA). The fee schedule has been approved by the Department of Health Care Services in accordance with the W&I Code Section 14045.18.  The fee schedule is subject to change. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Payment for Service Terms/Refund Policy

  1. Established Fees. The Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification Program (“Service”) Fee Schedule (“Fee Schedule”) has been approved by the Department of Health Care Services in accordance with the W&I Code Section 14045.18.  The Fee Schedule is subject to change. All payments are processed via a 3rd Party Payment processor. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.  For instances where an individual or business makes a purchase for applications and/or exam fees in a bulk order, upon approval from CalMHSA, CalMHSA will issue prepaid codes (“Prepaid Codes”). Each user is responsible for the security and distribution of the assigned Prepaid Codes and may distribute at their discretion to individuals for use of the Service. 
  2. Refund Policy. Refunds are generally not permitted for credit card payments or to refund Prepaid Codes. CalMHSA may issue a refund for a credit card payment or for Prepaid Codes that have not been used and applied to the Service where it is deemed applicable, including but not limited to the following: 
    • Prepaid code or scholarship applied. User purchased item(s) in which a prepaid code or scholarship was applied to cover those expenses; 
    • Duplicate purchase. User purchased item(s) more than once in error.
