The Mental Health Association of San Francisco (MHASF) is a forward thinking, peer-run organization, established in 1947, with a mission to cultivate peer leadership, build community and advance social justice in mental health. Today, more than 90% of the staff identify as mental health consumers and play a critical role in developing peerdriven training and materials, and resources.
MHASF is proud to provide the Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Training through the Advanced Peer Professional Training (APPT), a transformative training program designed to shape compassionate and skilled Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists. This comprehensive training equips individuals with the knowledge, tools, and empathy required to make a profound impact on the lives of those facing mental health challenges.

Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification Training Schedule

• 4 Hours Per Week of Self-Paced Learning (16 total hours outside of class)
