NAMI San Diego is an independent affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) national organization. Our over 20 programs include: peer support programs, support groups, a peer warmline, and trainings for peer/family support specialists.

Mission and Values: To Support, Educate and Advocate to improve the lives of everyone living with behavioral health and their loved ones. Our goal as Training Vendors of CalMHSA is to provide an exceptional Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Training that prepares individuals to successfully serve our communities.

Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification Training Schedule

Training Method: Hybrid

Training Modality:  Cohort Style

Training Length: 13 days (80 hours)

Training Hours: Typically, Mon-Fri, four hours daily for 2.5 weeks, plus self-study and homework assignments. Please visit our website for details.
