WellSpace Health is a non-profit community health system that believes everyone deserves to be seen. No matter who you are, where you come from, where you work or what place you call home, we see you! 
To grow a workforce equal to our beliefs, WellSpace offers a comprehensive professional training program allowing adults with experience of mental health, substance use and other systems challenges to become certified Peer Support Specialists.
WellSpace’s training is purpose-built for online learning and developed by experienced peers, young adults, and learning design experts. It is facilitated by peers who use their lived experience to deliver support, run programs, and develop curriculum standards. Through a combination of self-paced modules, live webinars and peer-to-peer practice, our participants acquire both the knowledge and the skills to be an effective peer supporter.

Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification Training Schedule

Training Length: 5 Weeks

Training Hours: Mon. – Fri., various hours

Registration Capacity: 45 students maximum per cohort
