Agency Biography
Community Action Marin (CAM) is the largest non-profit provider of social services to individuals and families of low income in Marin County. The agency has over 50 years of experience working for racial and economic justice, helping people reach self-sufficiency and thriving through programs that meet the needs of community.
Each year, the agency serves over 20,000 people through its teams of Success Coaches—many of whom are peers—working across Children & Family Services, Safety Net, Economic Justice, Mental Health, and Food Justice.
Community Action Marin’s Mental Health & Well-being Services team has over 30 years of experience in community as a peer support provider and peer education trainer. The team is proud to now offer CalMHSA-approved Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification Training.
Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification Training Schedule
Training Method: Hybrid
Training Location: Novato, CA
Training Modality: Cohort Style
Training Length: 12 weekly in-person sessions plus online homework (total 80 hours)
Training Hours: 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Registration Capacity: 20 students maximum
