Welcome to the 2025 Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Training Opportunity!
CalMHSA in partnership with the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), is offering no-cost training for individuals interested in applying to become a Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist. This 80-hour training course, delivered by CalMHSA-approved training providers, includes both in-person and virtual sessions to equip you with the skills and knowledge to support others on their recovery journey.
Training Details Section:
- Program Duration: 80 hours (40 hours in-person over five-consecutive days + 40 hours virtual).
- Timeframe: Trainings are available January, February, and March. Training must be completed by March 15th.
- Cost: Training, certification application and exam (one-time) at no cost to participants.
- Meals: Breakfast and lunch provided during in-person sessions.
- Travel and Lodging: Not covered.
- Eligibility: Open to individuals with lived experience who are in recovery.
