Agency Biography
CA Bridge, a program of the Public Health Institute’s Bridge Center, dramatically expands low-barrier access to stigma-free substance use disorder care when and where people need it most. The Bridge model has three pillars: (1) immediate access to low-barrier treatment, (2) a culture of harm reduction that offers treatment without stigma, and (3) connection to continued care in the community through trained navigators. CA Bridge provides free training, tools, and technical assistance for healthcare professionals and peer support specialists.
To support this mission, CA Bridge Connect is a free helpline that quickly connects people to addiction treatment. By calling 1-800-944-1807 or texting 1-833-308-0461, individuals connect with compassionate CA Bridge Connect Navigators. These Navigators offer judgment-free support, talk about overdose prevention, and help secure rapid access to Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) through a vetted network of clinics, hospitals, and crisis care teams.
