Agency Biography

The California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 1993 as the California Institute for Mental Health (CIMH). In 2014, CIMH merged with the Alcohol and Other Drug Policy Institute to form CIBHS, creating a broader portfolio of services supporting behavioral health. CIBHS is a mission-driven consultancy using its deep understanding of national and California specific initiatives to help behavioral healthcare plans and provider organizations translate policy into practice, collaboratively create effective programming and design strategies to improve systems that facilitate better outcomes for individuals, families, and communities. CIBHS has been a premier California behavioral health training, implementation, and technical assistance (TA) consulting organization for 30 years. For much of that period, CIBHS has maintained a longstanding partnership with the California Department of Mental Health (DMH), followed by collaborations with DHCS and most California counties.
