Agency Biography

The UCLA Integrated Substance Use and Addiction Programs Continuing Education (UCLA ISAP CE) Program promotes lifelong learning in substance use and mental health for the health care workforce, including certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists. UCLA ISAP provides continuing education in evidence-based, culturally responsive, and integrated care for providers across a variety of treatment settings, with the goal of creating better health outcomes and health equity for the patients and communities they serve.
Courses are designed using adult learning techniques from education and implementation sciences and developed to improve the skills, strategy, and performance of every member of the health care team. Topics include but are not limited to facts and treatments for opioids, stimulants, stigma reduction, harm reduction, comorbidity, and other approaches relevant to engaging and treating people who use drugs. Courses are offered in a variety of formats: live online, in person or hybrid and on demand.
