RUHS-BH is a peer support training resource in California since the passage of MHSA in 2004. RUHS-BH is a peer-run organization within the Riverside County behavioral health system with an exemplary history of training peers to provide direct services, integrating peers on treatment teams at all levels of care. Having been a model for the state for many years, RUHS-BH has career ladders and billed Medi-Cal for peer support services since 2006. The universal Building Peer Leaders: A Medi-Cal Peer Support Certification Training curriculum covers all aspects of the core competencies each peer provider, regardless of their specialty, needs to know to best prepare for the Medi-Cal Peer Support Certification Exam. The course, facilitated by peers with years of real world experience. They provide a learning environment that learning styles and celebrates diversity in the training process. RUHS-BH welcomes all peer providers, regardless of their specialty or lived experiences.

Training Length: 10 days in total

Training Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday
