Agency Biography
Since 1993, Emotional Health Association, dba SHARE! the Self-Help And Recovery Exchange has been a premier peer-run agency fostering transformation through lived experience. We operate two Wellness Centers, a peer respite, and SHARE! Collaborative Housing, alongside impactful programs serving unique populations like our Veteran Peer Access Network and United Mental Health Promoter programs.
As a leader in workforce development, SHARE! has trained over 2,000 peers since 2016, including 1,000+ for the Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist training.
Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where individuals honor their life stories, pursue growth, and embrace change by choice. Through unwavering peer support and self-help support groups, we empower people to reinvigorate life skills and address unresolved traumas.
We are entirely staffed by people in recovery from mental health/substance use concerns—including those with histories of incarceration or experience as parents/caregivers/family members of people with mental health/substance use concerns.
